This launch privacy policy is a plain-English draft for FOLLO. It is not a statement of attorney review.
FOLLO is operated by FeedLight Ventures LLC d/b/a FOLLO. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information for FOLLO, a local discovery app for local businesses, events, deals, and Plans.
Information we collect
We may collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication details, and account settings. We may collect profile information that you choose to provide, such as display name, profile photo, interests, or other profile details.
If you use a business account, we may collect business account information such as business name, location, contact details, website, descriptions, images, events, deals, posts, subscription status, and team or owner information.
FOLLO may use location settings to support local discovery. Depending on your device and choices, this may include approximate location, selected city or area, or device permission status. You can manage location permissions through your device settings.
We collect content and activity related to posts, events, deals, Plans, follows, keeps, passes, Plan interactions, friends, invites, and chat messages. We also collect push tokens and notification settings so we can send notifications you request or permit.
Billing and payment information for paid features may be handled by Stripe. FOLLO may receive limited billing records, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and related account information, but Stripe processes payment details under its own terms and privacy policy.
We collect technical logs and security monitoring information, including device, browser, IP address, app activity, crash or diagnostic data, and records used to help protect FOLLO from abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
How we use information
We use information to operate FOLLO, provide local discovery, support Plans and friend coordination, maintain business features, personalize relevant app experiences, send notifications, process support requests, monitor security, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve the service.
Age gating and minor safety
FOLLO is intended for users who meet the age requirements in our Terms of Service. We may use age-related information and safety controls to support eligibility rules, protect younger users where applicable, and respond to safety concerns.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate FOLLO, including hosting, authentication, cloud infrastructure, diagnostics, operational monitoring, notifications, customer support, security monitoring, and payment processing. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during business transfers, or with your direction or consent.
Some information you choose to share may be visible to other users or businesses, such as profile details, follows or interactions where shown in the app, Plans, messages, posts, events, deals, and business listings, depending on the feature and settings.
Account deletion
You can request account deletion in the app through Profile/Settings → Delete Account if available, or by emailing support@folloapp.io from the email address connected to your account. Deletion may remove or de-identify account information, profile information, and user content, subject to legal, security, billing, fraud prevention, and operational retention needs.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No service can ensure perfect security. We retain information for as long as needed to provide FOLLO, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate business purposes.
